EUROPEAN ENERGY VENTURE FAIR – CAPITAL CONFERENCE ZURICH

Dear Colleagues

We are pleased to announce that registration for the European Energy Venture Fair 2009 is now open and we look forward to welcoming you at the Swiss Re Center for Global Dialogue in Zurich/ Rüschlikon on the 21st and 22nd September 2009. The goals of the event will continue to be to strengthen relationships, learn more about new technologies, hear from experts in the business and meet up-and-coming companies looking for investors. We are in the process of preparing the event and we will keep you informed as to the specifics of the agenda and the confirmed speakers.

The European Energy Venture Fair 2008 was an enormous success and our largest networking conference yet with over 140 venture capital investment professionals from more than 80 funds participating. Presentations and pictures from the event are available for members to download.

In the meantime, please save the dates on your agenda and register early to avoid disappointment as numbers are as always limited. Please feel free to let us know about fellow venture capital investors in the energy space (independent or corporate) who may be interested in joining – just send their names and email addresses to us for inclusion in our next mailing. If you do not receive an invitation in the coming weeks and you are a venture capital investors in the energy space, please send us an email with details of your fund and we will send an invitation and password to you.

Finally, if any of your energy related portfolio companies are looking to start their fund raising process around the third quarter, you may wish to advise them that each year we invite 10 - 15 start-up to expansion stage energy technology companies to present their business at the conference. Companies seeking capital funding in the energy sector are encouraged to apply early and information on the application process can be found here.
